Primary
Harrisfield Primary School,
Noble Park
for establishing healthy sporting activities that connect the school to the local
community.
George Tsianakas has devoted an enormous amount of time and energy developing healthy sporting activities that connect the school and the community. During his personal time, George has trained students, initiated fundraising activities in the local community and secured community sponsorship for the school’s sporting teams.
One sporting activity George established is a student soccer team, known by the community as the ‘Harrisfield Hurricanes’. Students enjoy competing in a local sporting league outside school hours and the school and community have taken the team into their hearts. This sporting team has generated a great sense of achievement and enjoyment for students and the community.
