The ASG Community Merit Awards were an initiative of the Australian Scholarships Group (ASG) under the banner of NEiTA. They ran from 2004 to
2006 recognising the contributions of teachers to their communities and are no
longer offered through the NEiTA Awards program.
ASG Community Merit Awards recognised teachers who engaged their students in worthy activities to be of
service to the community, and provided the local community with opportunities to support and participate in
the work of the school.
