South Australia / Northern Territory:

The Foundation received nominations for outstanding teachers from schools ranging from Mount Gambier to Ceduna and from Victor Harbour to Nhulunbuy. There was good community support for teachers from the Riverland, Eyre Peninsula, and from Central Australia, as well as from Adelaide and Darwin. Teachers selected for Regional Awards reflect the quality of nominations and recognise the achievements of teaching specialists as well as those of preschool, general primary and secondary teachers.

Awardees were welcomed at the Novotel Adelaide on 3 October by the Chairman of the NEiTA Foundation, Mr Terry O’Connell, with the awards presented by the Hon. Trish Worth, MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Education, Training and Youth Affairs.
