A MESSAGE FROM THE MINISTER

“I would like to congratulate all of the recipients of
National Excellence in Teaching Awards, in particular the four
Tasmanian winners - Jane Bovill from Waverley Primary, Craig White
from Ulverstone High and Chris Richardson and Leigh Steven
from St Michael’s Collegiate School.

Teachers have a vital role to play, not just in sharing their knowledge
and skills with students, but in providing encouragement and inspiration.
A good teacher can make learning come alive.

As winners of the State National Excellence in Teaching Awards
you have demonstrated a passion for teaching and learning and a desire
to make a difference in the lives of our children and young people.

Like the parents and community members who have nominated you for
these awards, I value your commitment to your profession.

Thank you for your dedication.”
