Victoria
/ Tasmania:
The Foundation received record
nominations for outstanding teachers from schools in both States with over
100 from Tasmania and a cross-section of schools from most parts of
Victoria. Teachers selected for Regional Awards reflect the quality of
nominations and recognise the achievements of teaching specialists as well
as those of preschool, general primary and secondary teachers.
Awardees were welcomed at the Carlton Crest Hotel
on 8 October by the Vice-Chairman of the NEiTA Foundation, Dr. Arnold
Bonnet, with the awards
presented by Victorian Senator, Tsebin Tchen,
representing the Minister for Education, Training and Youth Affairs.
